Stuart is the original creator and founding Managing Director of Advanced
Driving Systems Limited.
Whilst being domiciled in Papamoa Beach and operating our Bay of Plenty based
nationwide administration offices, he also holds the nationwide position of Chief Instructor.
Stuart maintains a hands on practical approach to all aspects of the advanced driver training
business and regularly and routinely instructs on most courses conducted,
including our Stage 1, Stage 2 & Specialist Courses.
He was formally a member of the New
Zealand Police, where he also served as a Body Guard on the elite New Zealand Diplomatic
Protection Squad for 3 years and then also went on to serve as a Specialist Advanced Driving Instructor based at the Royal New Zealand Police College for the final 5 years
of his 15-year Police career.
These roles involved the study, design,
assessment and implementation of all facets of advanced driver training
techniques as well as personally receiving specialist advanced expertise and experience in adult teaching
techniques.
He subsequently left the New Zealand Police in 1995 and created, designed and established
the original Holden
Advanced Driver Training Course, evolving and developing it over the last 17
years to become renowned as New Zealand's premier nationwide advanced driver training
course.
Stuart was personally selected as the original content design
consultant for the highly acclaimed and successful ACC / Peter Brock television Road Safety
commercial series.
He has been certified as an Advanced
Driving Instructor by the NZTA and has been actively involved in advanced driving
and Road Safety for the last 30 years.
Stuart is internationally recognised and regarded as an expert in the field of
advanced driving techniques, adult teaching, innovative Road Safety programs and
positive attitudinal reinforcement.
He has also been personally directly involved for numerous years with Bridgestone New Zealand in the specialist area of tyre
evaluations, handling comparisons, driving demonstrations and prototype tyre
testing.
Stuart has also been previously utilised as the professional driver in television commercials and practical tyre industry handling and performance
driving displays.
He is also a vehicular stunt design co-ordinator, professional precision stunt driver
and has been one of the professional race drivers of the Holden V8 Hot Lap rides
& V8 Race Experience instructor.
Most of New Zealand's specialist Defence Force and other Government agencies
have received their specialist advanced pursuit, evasive, offensive and anti-terrorist
vehicle training from him personally.
Stuart's extensive previous training, qualifications and specialist expertise in a very diverse range of both general and specialist roles enables
him to specifically address and accommodate virtually any clients individual operational training requirements.
He is the original creator, designer and ongoing driving force behind our
Advanced Driving Team.

Phil
is domiciled in the Auckland Region and travels extensively nationwide with our
specialist Advanced Driver Training operation as an
Advanced Driving Instructor & Holden V8 Hot Lap pilot.
He has a background in the motor vehicle industry and
his extensive motorsport pedigree includes having previously raced speedway
saloons, rally cars, karts, and a variety of circuit race cars.
Phil is the three time FMG Classic National Champion and also twice won the Pro7 North Island Championship.
This year Phil is competing in selected rounds of the NZV8 Championship in
a Holden V8.
For the last 8 years he has also run his own successful Phil Blythe Motorsport
Team.
His passion and enthusiasium for motorsport is infectious and he is dedicated to providing the Holden
V8 Hot Lap rides and Holden V8 Race Drive Experience options to the public.
Phil has conducted public driving demonstrations for the ACC and has also been
involved in tyre testing and vehicle handling comparisons for both Bridgestone NZ
& Holden NZ.
He is vastly experienced and instructs on
our
Stage 1, Stage 2 & Specialist courses.
Phil is a very loyal member and an integral part of
our Advanced Driving Team.

Brian
Barlow

Brian is currently domiciled in the Auckland region and
possesses a vast background
in
both driving and Road Safety within New Zealand.
His previous background includes:
New Zealand Ministry of Transport;
Council
Road Safety Co-ordinators roles in both Wellington and North Shore City;
Advanced Driving Instruction; Licence Testing and NZ Police Heavy Vehicle Compliance.
He was previously an investigating officer for the Labour Department Occupational Safety
& Health.
For over the past 13 years Brian has
worked both full-time and on contract for us as one of our Specialist Advanced Driving Instructors.
He has conducted public driving demonstrations and has also been
involved in tyre testing and vehicle handling comparisons for both Bridgestone NZ
& Holden NZ.
Brian has been certified by the NZTA as both an Advanced Driving Instructor and Testing Officer and
has been an integral part of
our Advanced Driving Team.

the automotive and fleet management field.
He was formally a member of the New Zealand Army were he was as a
fulltime professional driver and trained chauffer driver to military chiefs of
staff and other V.I.Ps.
Craig displays an enthusiastic personality and
possesses exceptional interpersonal skills.
He has previously received extensive advanced
specialist training in anti-terrorist evasive vehicle manoeuvres upon our
original Holden
Advanced Driver Training Courses and he will now be utilised as one of
specialist instructors on our
Stage 1, Stage 2 & Specialist Courses.

currently operates his own nationwide Investigations and Consultancy firm

He is very highly regarded and extensively qualified in this very specialist field, having attended and successfully completed numerous international courses.

Hamish is domiciled in the Christchurch region and has had an extensive
previous background in the NZ Police, including 4 years as the crash analyst on
the Canterbury Police Serious Crash Unit.
He has been heavily involved in motor vehicle crash investigation for over 14
years and now operates his own Christchurch based nationwide crash investigation
consultancy company.
Along with undertaking studies in traffic safety and road design Hamish has also
attended many specialised crash investigation courses and has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Road Safety.
Additionally, he was formerly an investigating Health & Safety Inspector with the
Dept of Labour.
The combination of Hamish's backgrounds brings a wealth of knowledge and
experience to his South Island based contracting role as one of our Specialist Advanced Driver Training Instructors.

Lindsay is domiciled in

He is a trained teacher who currently is the
Road Safety Co-ordinator in Porirua.
For the past 7 years we have jointly worked on a number of innovative regional
road safety projects and Mark's road safety improvement desire has
motivated him to develop into the specialist field of driver
training.
Mark has been certified by the NZTA and owns and
manages the
Wellington based Driver Training operation.
He is also now completing his specialist advanced training in order to work on contract for us as one of our Specialist Advanced Driving Instructors.

Mark has an extensive background in precision driving for the film
industry and his list of previous credits include approx 30 movies/TV series.
He was the stunt driver in 9 of the L.T.N.Z Road Safety television adverts.

Johnny is domiciled in Nelson and he
possesses an extensive background in both the motor industry and motorsport.
Since 1998, he has worked on contract as a Specialist
Holden Advanced Driving Instructor.
Johnny is an extremely talented and successful racing car driver, former Shell
Ultra Challenge Scholarship winner and has also previously competed on a
number of occasions in an
Australian V8 Supercar at both Sandown & Bathurst for Stone Brothers.
Johnny Mac has been the standout dominant driving force in NZV8 Touring Car
Championship for the last 6 years and he was a three time NZV8 National Champion
and twice NZV8 runner up.
He is now currently running and soon to be competing in his own V8 Supertourer
team, in New Zealand.
Johnny has also recently been selected and announced as the Ford Australia
factory V8 Supercar Team co-driver for this years 2012 Bathurst 1000 & Sandown
500 endurance events.
He
possesses extensive business acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills and a
very personable demeanour.
Johnny has been a valued member of our Advanced
